Rejoice!

We made it through quarantine and all our COVID-19 tests were negative!

So happy and grateful to be finished with that process. Praise God for every good and perfect gift.

Yesterday to celebrate their new freedom, the girls went skating then biking. Later in the afternoon they joined a group of friends for a game of catch and then a short hike in the woods. After being trapped in lockdown for so many days they were ready to do as much as possible outside!

The days are sunny and a bit chilly here but nothing like CHIberia (Snowmaggedon Chicago 😳). Right now friends in America report that the snow is EVERYWHERE and remarkably high.

We know that weather can make everyday living more challenging so we continue praying for the friends and family affected.

Psalm 130 has been my meditation for the week. This same psalm helped me face the return to the states several years ago when our family repatriated from Korea.

Back then I prayed “out of the depths” for mercy just as I did this week; and then waited earnestly for the LORD–more than the watchmen wait for the morning. The COVID test Healthcare workers this time were even better than before. Could be that practice makes perfect. More likely though this was God’s beautiful mercy. 🥰 We continue praying as we remain still and patient before Him.

The semester begins very soon and preparations are underway!
