We made it to Chicago! Exploring new places is fun, but nothing compares to sleeping in your own bed. Thanks for following along with us on our winter adventure. 🙂

Final Day in France

Today was our last full day in Europe. I think we walked farther than we’ve ever walked on a trip. Museé de l’Orangerie The Museé de l’Orangerie houses the work of Claude Monet in a beautiful double circular space. It also exhibits the work of Renoir, Picasso, and others. It was a great day. The first bookshop is called, Livraria Bertand. It was opened in the 18th century and

Óbidos

Today we drove an hour north to the village of Óbidos, a town and castle that archaeologists say is built on the site of a Roman settlement. The castle was captured by the first King of Portugal in 1148. There is a well-preserved acquaduct that is connected to the village.   For dinner we stopped
