Óbidos
On January 2, 2019 by brian.haferkampToday we drove an hour north to the village of Óbidos, a town and castle that archaeologists say is built on the site of a Roman settlement. The castle was captured by the first King of Portugal in 1148. There is a well-preserved acquaduct that is connected to the village.
For dinner we stopped at a place for a gigantic burger. It was the largest I’ve ever seen. We also tried a sampler platter of sliders.
