Lingnan Impression Park is an heritage/amusement park located on the island near our campus apartment. It is  near enough to walk to it. We had to pay for admittance: 60rmb per person. It was a beautiful space. Photos below:

We landed just after midnight on Tuesday morning and were picked up from the airport by 2 graduate student assistants named Mia and Rudy. Mia and Rudy proved invaluable over the next 48 hours. They helped me get registered with the local police, get new SIM cards for our phones, set up our internet services,

Making time for reflection is crucial for a healthy life. It has been important for me anyway, to stop, remember recent happenings and consider their effects. This doesn’t have to be anything special. What I mean is, there is no special place or theatrics needed. Just a pocket of unhurried time and your own Self.

The Rules

Welp. Every traveler learns eventually that traveling means about 4% of all situations encountered will be within one’s personal control. All else is fair game for change  adventure. To our surprise, the start date and end dates for our trip have changed. Now we plan to leave about 2 weeks later than we originally thought.
